Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
KRUUSH is a wellness content and lifestyle platform operated by Kruush Wellness LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Wyoming limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website ("Site").
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information (name, email) when you create an account through our authentication provider
- Quiz responses when you take our Intimacy Quiz, Take It Together, or other quizzes
- Community posts and comments in our COMMUNITY and Talk Spaces features
- Contact information when you reach out to us
- Email address when you sign up for our newsletter or download resources
- Affiliate link click data (which products you click on, from which pages) to improve our recommendations
- Quiz completion data (which quiz, which result) in aggregate to improve our content
Information collected automatically:
- Basic analytics data (page views, general location, device type) through privacy-respecting analytics
- Cookies necessary for site functionality and your login session
3. What We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not collect medical records, health insurance information, or protected health information (PHI)
- We do not provide medical services or maintain doctor-patient relationships
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties
- We do not share your quiz results with anyone unless you choose to share them
- We do not use your data for targeted advertising
4. HIPAA Clarification
KRUUSH is not a covered entity under HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). HIPAA applies to healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses. We are none of these.
We are a wellness content platform. While we discuss health topics, we do not provide healthcare services, process health insurance claims, or maintain medical records. That said, we take the privacy of your personal information seriously and protect it with industry-standard security measures.
5. Research Survey Data
KRUUSH conducts community research surveys ("The KRUUSH Report") to understand women's experiences during perimenopause and midlife. Here is exactly how research survey data is handled:
What we collect: Anonymous survey responses across multiple dimensions of life experience (health, career, relationships, finances, identity, and more). Each response is identified only by a randomly generated session hash, not by any personal identifier.
What we do NOT collect with survey responses: We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, account identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information with your survey answers. We cannot identify you from your responses.
Separation of data: If you optionally provide your email address to receive published results, that email is stored in a completely separate database table from your survey answers. There is no technical link between the two.
How survey data is used:
- To generate aggregate, de-identified statistics about women's perimenopause experiences
- To publish findings that advance public understanding of women's health
- To create educational content, reports, visualizations, and research materials
- To improve KRUUSH's platform, features, and services
- To share anonymous, aggregate data with researchers, healthcare organizations, employers, policymakers, and mission-aligned organizations working to improve women's health (for example, a women's health nonprofit studying symptom trends, or a university research team analyzing perimenopause data). We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- To support advocacy efforts for improved women's healthcare policy and workplace accommodations
Revenue generated from sharing anonymous, aggregate insights with aligned partners funds the continued operation and independence of this platform. We do not sell identifiable consumer health data.
Informed consent: Before participating in any research survey, you are presented with a detailed informed consent screen explaining the purpose, risks, data handling, and your rights. In compliance with the Washington My Health My Data Act, we obtain separate consent for: (1) data collection, (2) internal use, and (3) third-party sharing. You must affirmatively acknowledge each element before proceeding. Consent is recorded with a version identifier and timestamp. Participation is completely voluntary. You can skip any question or stop at any time.
Data retention: Anonymous survey responses are retained indefinitely for research purposes. Because responses are anonymous and cannot be linked to any individual, deletion of specific responses is not possible. Email addresses provided for result notifications can be deleted upon request.
Important: This is a community research survey, not a clinical trial. KRUUSH isn't affiliated with a hospital, university, or institutional review board. The survey doesn't collect protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA.
For detailed information about how we handle consumer health data, including your rights under state health data privacy laws, please see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
