Meet Amber

Who am I to build this?
I am you.

I'm Amber. Mom. Grandmother. Friend. The woman Googling "why can't I sleep" at 3am right next to you.

I'm not a doctor. I don't have a medical degree. I have dyslexia and severe ADHD and a voice in my head that tells me every single day that I'm not qualified to do this.

But here's what I do have. I have spent my entire life connecting with women. I built a fashion brand called Flynn Skye. I opened a store called Blonde. I cocreated a private label for Planet Blue. Everything I have ever done has been about making women feel beautiful. It gave me a high.

Then COVID took Flynn Skye from me and honestly? It scared me. I went quiet for a while. I didn't know if I had it in me to start something again.

Then perimenopause showed up and it didn't knock. It kicked the door down.

Then I started talking to my friends. Really talking. Not the "I'm fine" version. The real version and we were all struggling. Some a little and some alot.

One forgot where she parked her car three times in one week. She was convinced it was early dementia. Oh wait that was me. One started having panic attacks out of nowhere at 44 and spent six months thinking she had a heart condition. One got diagnosed with ADHD at 47 and still doesn't know if it's actually ADHD or perimenopause because the symptoms are almost identical. One couldn't remember her neighbor's name. The neighbor she's known for twelve years.

One stopped wanting sex entirely and thought her marriage was falling apart. One was so angry she didn't recognize herself. One gained 15 pounds eating the exact same way she always had. One couldn't finish a sentence without losing her train of thought midword.

Every single one of us was going through it. Every single one of us thought we were the only one. And every single one of us was dealing with something slightly different. Did I mention my dry nose?

Same storm. Different boats and not one of us had a map.

So we did what we all do.
We Googled everything.

I read the studies. I called the doctors. I tried the supplements. I bought the creams. I did the thing where you open 47 tabs at 3:07 am and each one contradicts the last. So did they.

One doctor said take HRT. The next one said absolutely not. One article said magnesium changed everything. The next study said it was no better than a sugar pill. My friend swore by something her naturopath recommended. My OBGYN had never heard of it. SOS.

An estimated 75 million women in the US are currently in some stage of the menopausal transition (perimenopause through postmenopause). Six thousand more join them every single day. And what do we get? Confusion. Contradictions. Even from the people we trust most.

I realized I wasn't confused because I wasn't trying hard enough. I was confused because the information is genuinely a mess and nobody was cleaning it up.

So I stopped complaining
and started building.

KRUUSH is the research backed platform that cuts through it all. The data, the daily tools, and the products backed by real research. No opinions. No guessing. Just data. Believe me there are things that may work, that aren't on here because they aren't backed by data.

We don't tell you what to do. We show you what the science says and let you decide. Don't believe in sunscreen? Fine. Here's the data. Not sure about hormone therapy? Here's what the largest studies found. Curious about a supplement? Here's what the clinical trials actually showed. Not what the Instagram ad says.

We cite every source. If you see one missing let us know. We show our work. We don't cherry pick studies that support a narrative. If the data is mixed, we say the data is mixed. If the experts disagree, we show you both sides and let you make your own call.

Your body. Your choice. We just make sure you have the facts to make it.

Now for the part
nobody talks about.

Sex. Desire. Intimacy. The stuff that changes in ways nobody warns you about.

I'll tell you something personal. After a year of recurring UTIs that no one connected to my hormones, at 52, my intimate life is better than it's been in years. Not despite this stage. Because of it. Because I finally understand my body. Because I stopped being shy about what I need. Because I found the information that actually helps and stopped listening to the noise. That's my experience. Yours will be different. But the information should be there for all of us.

I also know there's a huge disconnect between partners when it comes to intimacy. Your body is changing. Your desires are shifting and your partner has no idea what's happening or how to show up for you. Not because they don't care. Because nobody ever gave them the words for it.

That's why I built the Intimacy Quiz and the Take It Together quiz. Inspired by Gary Chapman's 5 Love Languages, but for the bedroom. Because when two people are speaking different languages in bed, nobody gets what they need. When you learn each other's language, everything changes.

This is already
bigger than me.

We're building what we believe could become the largest independent study on midlife sexual wellness. Not funded by a pharmaceutical company. Not run by a university with a grant deadline. Built by women, for women, because nobody else was asking the questions that matter.

Every woman who takes a quiz, answers a survey question, or shares her experience is contributing to something that will help the next generation of women walk into this chapter with better information than we had.

This isn't just a website. It's what happens when women get tired of being told to just deal with it.

One more thing, because I believe in being honest with you. I'm a brand builder. I'm a businesswoman. When you buy something through a link on KRUUSH, I earn a small commission. It doesn't cost you a penny more. That's how I keep this running without charging you for it.

I am not a doctor. Everything on this site is for informational purposes only. We cite our sources, we show our work, and we will never tell you what to do with your body. That's between you and your healthcare provider. What we will do is make sure you walk into that conversation knowing the right questions to ask.

So yeah. Who am I to do this?
I'm the woman who couldn't find what she needed.
So she built it.

Welcome to KRUUSH.

Hugs and health,

Amber
